Real talk: Dieting during the holidays is always tough—yes, even for Jenna Jameson, who’s been crushing the keto diet since April.
In her latest #motivationmonday Instagram post, Jenna tackles the frustrations of being on the keto diet during this time of year. “The holidays are such a tricky time when it comes to staying on track,” she wrote. “With family visiting and having no clue what #keto is and all to willing to try to talk you into mashed potatoes and cheesecake, it’s SO easy to fall off the #ketodiet.”

Here we go! #motivationmonday 👏🏻. The holidays are such a tricky time when it comes to staying on track. With family visiting and having no clue what #keto is and all too willing to try to talk you into mashed potatoes and grandmas cheesecake, it’s SO easy to fall off the #ketodiet I suggest meal prepping! It’s not exciting, but trust in fact, you will be so elated when you power through the holidays staying in #ketosis But let me say this… sometimes allowing yourself to indulge is important. When you feel constantly deprived… it can lead to major week long derailments! So have fun, allow a treat here or there but most of all treasure the time spent with your loved ones! Merry Christmas my loves 🎄#beforeandafter #beforeandafterweightloss #ketotransformation #weightlosstransformation #weightlossjourney #weightloss #intermittentfasting #biohacking #mealprep

Jenna then offered up her solution: “I suggest meal prepping,” she wrote (yes, she knows that’s not an entirely exciting or surprising answer). “Trust in fact, you will be so elated when you power through the holidays staying in #ketosis.”
Jenna definitely isn’t a stranger to meal prepping—while it doesn’t seem like Jenna spends hours on the kitchen on a Sunday, she definitely sticks to a keto meal routine throughout the week. “I am one of those odd people that doesn’t need variety,” she wrote in a previous Instagram post talking about her keto menu.

Let’s talk menu. I get a lot of messages asking me what I eat in a day to stay in ketosis. Well, it’s underwhelming. I am one of those odd people that doesn’t need variety. Every morning I eat the exact same thing. 3 eggs with cheese and an avocado. Lunch is my biggest meal, I always eat arugula salad, grilled asparagus or zucchini with some kind of meat (usually a hamburger patty or grilled chicken) I then snack when ever I feel hungry (usually on almonds or macadamia nuts… sometime cottage cheese) that’s it! Then I begin my fast at 6 pm. I drink lots of water until I go to sleep at around 10 pm. I drink coffee at 8 am and I end my fast at 11 am. That’s it! No magic, no fancy diet… just clean whole organic foods. I waved bye bye to anything processed or packaged a long time ago. This is 60 lbs gone my friend. It can be done! I’m always asked how I have the will power… well when you see results like this in 4 months, it powers you!!!! Let me know your results and questions! #keto #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #weightloss #fitmom #beforeandafter #ketodiet #transformation *i wasn’t pregnant in the before pic😖

According to Jenna, she eats “the exact same thing” every morning: three eggs with cheese and avocado. Lunch is typically the same too: “I always eat arugula salad, grilled asparagus or zucchini with some kind of meat (usually a hamburger patty or grilled chicken).”
Still, while it would be great to stay in ketosis during the holidays, Jenna’s got another good point when it comes to dieting in general: “Sometimes allowing yourself to indulge is important,” she wrote. “When you feel constantly deprived…it can lead to major week long derailments!”
Jenna continued: “So have fun, allow a treat here or there but most of all treasure the time spent with your loved ones!” Amen to that, girl.
