Tinder has just released their 2018 data in their ‘year in swipe’ report. And that includes the best time to swipe if you want to get more matches: between 6 and 9pm on a Monday, to be exact. 

The reason why, however, we can only speculate. But the WH team put this down to a potential bad weekend: perhaps his dates on Friday and Saturday didn’t go to plan, so he’s left trawling through tinder looking for more potential matches?

Fortunately, there were some other key stats that help with finding the one. 

You’re probably going to want to set up drinks for your first date – a little social lubrication. Well, best to include vino in your profile. Globally, wine was the most popular drink.

Previously, research found that reading sci-fi and fantasy makes you a better lover. Tinder users must have caught on: Harry Potter was the most popular celebrity in bios, ahead of Drake and Kanye. 

But if words aren’t your thing and you’re not quite sure how to describe yourself, you might be best off using a few emojis. The top 10 emojis that seemed to do the trick were:
