Largest COVID-19-case study from America published
Even in hospitals with state of the art equipment critical COVID-19-diseases in New York are often fatal. The largest case-analysis from America shows that 39 percent of all intensive care patients, die. The most common complications that lead to death, are pulmonary, circulatory or renal failure.
The largest American COVID-19-case study from New York City, provides clues about how the Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 affects adult patients in the United States. The analysis shows that 22 percent of hospital-treated cases are critical and that the critical gradients, 39 percent of those Affected die. The study was recently presented in the prestigious scientific journal “The Lancet”.

- Cough,
- Pain in the limbs,
- Diarrhea.
How long the people Concerned have been ventilated?
More than three-quarters (79 percent) of the critically ill COVID-19-Concerned required a mechanical ventilator. The patients spent an average of unit 18 days on a ventilator. This period varied between nine and 28 days. Around a third (31 per cent) of these cases developed during the disease, severe kidney damage, and required additional therapies such as dialysis.
Two-thirds of the critically ill were men
The majority of critically ill patients Affected were men (67%, 171 of 257 cases). The majority of the critical diseases occurred from the age of 62 years. Every fifth person was below 50 years old (22 per cent; 55 of 257 people).
