The Brain Tumour Charity found diagnoses in England had gone from 6,577 in 2001 to 9,960 in 2019.
An ageing population and improvements in diagnostic methods were thought to it.
But experts are still concerned around 40 percent of cases are only diagnosed after patients end up in A&E.
Dr David Jenkinson said: “These figures show just how urgently we need to act on this devastating disease.”
