Watch This Soothing, Healing Sound Bath for a 3-Minute Relaxation Session

Sometimes all you need is a few minutes to yourself to completely transform your day and mood. SheKnows kicked off its first-ever self-care event for moms — SK Conversations: New Year, Now You — that was all about taking a moment for yourself. Self-care looks different for everyone, and it’s imperative you find what works best for you, whether you’ve got one minute or a few hours. And if you’re looking for something in between? Well, the event kicked off with the most relaxing 3-minute escape ever: a sound bath courtesy of Nicole Rutsch. If you weren’t able to make it during the event — or just want to relive the soothing mediation technique — you can experience it now.

Nicole Rutsch is a Reiki Master, sound healer, and holistic coach who’s dedicated to all things wellness; her sound-healing meditation practice aims to reduce stress and anxiety in a deeply relaxing, rejuvenating, and transformational experience. In this sound bath, she uses alchemy bowls that are infused with special crystals and Earth elements that produce melodic sound waves.

“I struggled my whole life feeling so anxious, feeling so stuck, and sort of feeling really hopeless within myself,” Rutsch says. “The minute I paused; the minute I found myself and my — I call it oneness — I was able to create a life that is filled with so much joy and love and abundance and prosperity.”

We all have moments where we are in desperate need of a reset and a sound bath allows us to do so as our mind, body, and spirit feel rejuvenated.

She added, “I’m so excited for you to experience this sound bath today, and for those of you who are new to sound healing all you need to know is that it is the most relaxing thing you can ever do to yourself. It is sort of an energetic massage for your mind, body, and your spirit.”

As you watch the 3-minute video (or this longer, 20-minute sound healing meditation she shared with our event attendees), remember to turn your phone off and find a quiet space to listen to Rutsch’s video. Close your eyes and lie down, you’ll be feeling totally zen in no time.
