Dr Eric Berg recommends daily drink for erectile dysfunction

On his YouTube channel, Dr Eric Berg said for patients who are prescribed Viagra, up to 30 percent of the time it doesn’t work.

Not only that, there can be side effects to taking Viagra, said Dr Berg.

He gave the example of gangrene of the penis, which might be rare, but “it does happen”.

Most of the time, men who suffer from erectile dysfunction come back with normal hormonal blood readings, so what is actually going on?

“The penis is a barometer of something called endothelial health,” said Dr Berg.

Endothelial health refers to the cells on the inside of the arteries, veins and lymphatic system.

“Erectile dysfunction is the earliest sign of peripheral artery disease (PAD),” said Dr Berg.

In 50 percent of cases of PAD, there are no symptoms, but if signs do creep up, watch out for:

  • Cold feet
  • Painful legs
  • Cramping in lower legs
  • Bluish tint or red rash on the lower part of the legs
  • Loss of hair on the lower part of legs.

“Erectile dysfunction isn’t a problem with the penis, it’s with something more extensive than that,” said Dr Berg.

“When getting an erection, there is an inhibition of the sympathetic nervous system (the flight or fight response),” said Dr Berg.

This is why an erection would be difficult to achieve under feelings of stress.

Yet, when due to PAD, there are things you can do to improve the chances of an erection.

Full of nitric oxide, Dr Berg recommends drinking one cup of watermelon juice daily.

To really help matters, Dr Berg encouraged people to make sure the rind is blended as part of the juice.

And to get things going even more, adding a blended beetroot can help a lot.

This “homemade Viagra” should be part of your daily routine for four to six weeks.

Dr Berg said the next step is to “stop all porn”, nose breathing, and exercising.
